Padlocks can be insurance-graded (not all padlocks are), but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are no good. If your insurance company is asking for an insurance-approved padlock, it will be asking for one that is CEN rated – and we stock CEN-rated padlocks.
Padlocks are rated on a scale of 1 to 6, with 6 being the most secure and 1 being the least secure:
- Grade 6: Maximum security
- Grade 5: Extra high security
- Grade 4: High security
- Grade 3: Medium to high security
- Grade 2: Standard security
- Grade 1: Low security
